What is γPNA?
γPNA is a nonionic synthetic oligonucleotide mimic with high affinity and specificity for complementary DNA and RNA. GammaPNA improves on traditional PNA in two important ways: (1) integration of water-solubilizing groups into the oligomeric backbone suppresses aggregation, precipitation and surface adsorption and (2) introduction of a chiral center pre-organizes gammaPNA into a right-handed helical structure, leading to exceptionally high affinity that allows invasion into highly structured targets such as duplex DNA.
Why should I try γPNA?
γPNA is an oligonucleotide analogue. It has remarkable physicochemical properties including exceptionally high affinity for complementary DNA and RNA targets, strand invasion into any sequence of duplex DNA, high water solubility, and low aggregation and adsorption to surfaces.
When and for what applications can I use γPNA?
The unsurpassed affinity, specificity, and rapid binding of yPNA make it the molecule of choice for demanding hybridization assays. Whether your lab is conducting basic research, developing tools or diagnostics, or involved in drug discovery and therapeutics, you should consider yPNA. The benefits of γPNA are being realized in fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) to measure chromosomal elements such as telomeres, to detect mRNA and miRNA, for antisense knockdown and gene silencing, as well as viral genotyping. Additionally, researchers have shown that γPNA can be used as to efficiently capture and pull out minute quantities of DNA and RNA from blood and other complex matrices for subsequent PCR and sequence analysis. There is great potential for γPNA in virtually any assay or application that relies on nucleic acid hybridization.
Can I customize the sequence I want to order?
Yes. Our scientists will produce the PNA to fit your needs. If you require a custom affinity reagent, fluorescent hybridization probe, or any other custom γPNA oligomer, then please contact us at email@example.com. We offer a range of modifications and purification levels to suit your needs and we will be happy to discuss with you any modification not yet included on our list. Our synthesis processes are highly reliable and quality controlled.
What will the cost be if I want to use γPNA?
The final cost of a γPNA oligomer depends on the length, amount, modifications and desired purity. We offer very competitive pricing; contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for a quote.
